Material: wood / plaster / paint Provenance: Assiut Category: Statuary Location: Storage Description: inverted truncated pyramid shape, with rounded shapes and a dent applied on top. A peg joint is inserted on the underside. The surface is plastered and painted white (background) and black (diamond grid pattern). -------------------------- This is one example of several similar fragments in Turin Schiaparelli excavated Asyut for the Turin Museum in the early 20th century, but he did not publish his excavations. | |
