Material: wood / plaster / paint Provenance: Assiut Category: Statuary Location: Storage Description: : The remains of a head bearing a basket. Bob hairstyle with a narrow ribbon knotted at the neck and surmounted by a basket in the shape of inverted truncated pyramid. Surface and is plastered and painted with yellow (skin and bottom of the basket), white (eyes and strap on your head) and black (hair, eyes and grid pattern of the basket). -------------------------- This is one example of several similar fragments in Turin Schiaparelli excavated Asyut for the Turin Museum in the early 20th century, but he did not publish his excavations. | |
