Kamal, Annales, XII (1912 p. 100): 8 A wooden granary model, rectangular, 28cm. x 25cm. side and 13cm. height. The four angles are raised in points like so many triangular corners. The door opens at the left end of one of the walls: 7cm. high. by 6cm wide. We see in the enclosure the usual courtyard and the three grain chambers: a staircase, placed opposite the front door, leads above the chambers. There are three figures in the courtyard: the master standing with a cane in his hand, a bushel-man who measures the barley spread on the ground, and behind the master, a labourer, the full bag on his shoulder, preparing to go up the stairs and unload the barley in the rooms. On the terrace a scribe writes the quantities stored on his tablet. | |
