Description
Breasted: 3. Limoges, Musee Municipal de l'Evêché (Pl. 2b). Pair of oxen with two men. One leans forward with both hands on the plough. The other holds a long stick in his right hand as though to beat the oxen; his left hand is raised high above his head, a pose which seems to be without parallel in wall scenes. Cattle apparently not spotted. Both men wear cloth skirts.
From Meir, excavations of M. and Madame Périchon -Bey. Base: 29.5 cm. x 15 cm.; oxen: 19 cm. x 14 cm.; height of men: 18 cm. Collection Périchon -Bey; Delpech-Laborie, Guide-Catalogue Sommaire, p. 52, Pl. X.
