Description | |
Tooley-1989 p. 97: 5. Pit 14. ROM NN(C). H.17.5 x W.36.7 x L.53.5 cms. The model is rectangular with gently peaked corners (c. 25?) which are mostly lost. The door in the centre leads to the stairs on the left. Along the back wall are 5 open topped magazines with a platform on top (Naville 1913, 31; Arnold 1981, 27, tf.25b, 71). [Note: "Pit 14" was the ka-sanctuary of Mentuhotep (Naville I, p 51) so presumably the granary was one of the "pieces of granaries" (Naville III p.31) found in the rubbish on the floor] | |
