Description | |
MFA website: This is a wooden tomb model of a granary. Wooden beams are joined to form rectangular chamber with red lines around the exterior upper rim and a door painted on one side, all in reddish-brown. The granary chamber contains two standing male figures and one seated figure. The figures' skin is painted reddish-brown. They wear white kilts, at least one of which has a sash over one shoulder, and black wigs. The seated figure holds a writing board for accounting of grain. One standing figure holds a sack of grain on his left shoulder, while the other leans forward with a scoop/pail for measuring grain. Both sack and pail are painted white with black line patterns. | |
