Description
	From website of Musee des Beaux Arts de Lyon (via Google transl.): This model represents the scene of an official hearing. Tall and sitting hands on knees, the master listens to the complaints and reports of six servants, five men and one woman, all gathered in a courtyard. Some bend humbly or rest on a stick, another wears a bag over his shoulder. The men are wearing short wigs and wearing loincloths, the woman has long hair and a dress with straps. The scene recalls the landed status and authority of the deceased, but also expresses the wish that his household gather to perform such farm work for him as is required in the Hereafter. Wood, polychome painted stucco. L. 30 ; l. 27,5 ; H. 24,7 cm. Acquired in 1969
