Adapted from Ombres d'Egypte (p. 85): Model of brewery - stucco and painted wood H: 120,5cm. L: 26.4cm. B: 11.8cm - Prov. unknown - MK 12 dyn. This model is composed of three standing women : one brings on her shoulder a tray of baked bread to be kneaded into the barrel before her, the other is leaning toward a grindstone, the arm of the third is dangling. An oven and a few characteristic jars with cylindrical or conical plugs complete the model. This renders in an abridged fashion, the brewing activities that will magically ensure the provision of all the beer needed by the deceased in eternity. | |
