Painted wooden figure of a man wearing a short kilt, with right leg raised. Such figures formed parts of composite wooden models of boats and production units on great estates. The models, produced predominantly in the early Middle Kingdom, were placed at burial in tombs of high officials and even, in the 11th Dynasty, in the tomb of the king.
