Qubbet el-Hawa
Qubbet el-Hawa is on the west side of the Nile, opposite the island of Elephantine at Aswan.
It is the site of a group of rock cut tombs, known as the Princes's Tomb, which date mainly from the Old Kingdom.
These provide important details of the lives of officials at this time (including the tomb of Harkhuf), particularly of the
nomarchs of the first Upper Egyptian
nome.
There are a few later tombs, from the Middle Kingdom and New Kingdoms.
