Burial of Mesehti

Site: Asyut, Tomb: Tomb III

Description:

The contents of the tomb of the nomarch Mesehti (Hogarth III) were plundered in the late 19th century. The contents were mostly acquired by the Egyptian Museum Cairo. There were two coffins belonging to Mesehti and other grave goods, including the two famous models of companies of soldiers.
