Burial of Unknown

Site: Asyut, Tomb: No. 13

Description:

Chassinet-et-al-1911 p.162:

Near the damaged sarcophagus [one of four in the chamber], in the middle of a heap of red pottery in the form of cups, some of which had gadrooned edges, we found a statue of a double, 53 cents high, wrapped in linen. This statuette represents a woman portrayed in the same attitude as the figurines collected in tombs 6, 7 and 20.
